Abstract
A method of the optimization of fans and compressors is developed on the basis of a genetic algorithm. For analyzing the gas- dynamic characteristics of turbo-machines, the technology of automatic design of high-quality grids is implemented admitting the variation of the blade shape in the limits required for optimization .The programs for the gas-dynamic calculation of spatial viscous flow and the block of programs for the finite-element analysis of the blade deflected mode in the nonlinear spatial statement, including the dynamic strength characteristics definition are developed. Due to a high degree of adaptation and integration of the optimization method with calculation procedures the process of automatic design of fan blades requires only a short time and small computing resources. Using this approach for designing a blade, a cluster of 16 one-nuclear computers can provide, after 4-6 working days, blade designs with the characteristics close to those obtained using much more labor-consuming traditional methods.
