The problem of uniform horizontal motion of a sphere in a fluid under an ice-cover is analyzed. The multipole expansion method is used in the framework of the linear wave theory of the potential flow. The hydrodynamic loads acting on the body along with the ice-cover deformations and the longitudinal strains are determined. |
