Interaction of a plane shock with density inhomogeneities in an ideal gas is numerically investigated. Different geometric configurations - quarter-plane, thin layer, wedge and ellipsoid - are concerned. New qualitative flow features are found. Two flow regimes - regular and irregular - are revealed. He effect of the determining parameters on quantitative features of the flow is determined. |
