Abstract
The use dielectric barrier discharge for the delay of laminar turbulent transition excited by natural flow disturbances is investigated experimentally. Optimal location of electrodes and the operational regime of high-voltage impulse generator providing maximal downstream shift of the transition location were found. It is demonstrated that the 13% increase of the laminar part of the boundary layer can be obtained using a barrier discharge on the cross-flow electrodes.
