The paper studies the initiation of gaseous detonation in profiled tubes with complex geometry of the walls by a comparatively weak shock wave. The investigation is carried out with the help of numerical experiment in a three-dimensional formulation using high performance computing. It is shown that the profiling of axisymmetric tube in the form of parabolic contraction and conical expansion as well as the usage of helical tubes can significantly decrease time and distance of shock-to-detonation transition. The mechanisms of detonation initiation in the above mentioned cases are investigated. |
