Аннотация

Исследуется ближневосточная политика администрации Дж. Картера в 1977-1978 гг. и влияние на неё курдского вопроса. Рассматривается проблема активности трёх ключевых движений в Курдистане: турецкого, иракского и иранского - и увязанных с этим вопросов двухсторонних отношений с Анкарой, Багдадом и Тегераном. Исследуется активность ключевых деятелей иракских курдов в США и их связи с представителями американского истеблишмента. Рассмотрено взаимодействие ЦРУ с лидерами курдского национального движения в Ираке, его деятельность в Турецком и Иранском Курдистане. Оценивается направленность воздействия Израиля на выстраивание курдской политики администрации Картера. Характеризуются причины нежелания США ввязываться в отношения с курдским национальным движением в рассматриваемый период.
