Аннотация

Рассматривается мифографическая традиция Орфея в Италии в XVI в. Цель статьи - показать, каким образом Орфей из стереотипной мифологической фигуры XV в. превращается в знаковый образ эпохи квинквеченто и сам становится мифографом. С этой целью приводится анализ методов и методологических подходов к изучению образа Орфея, а также анализ источниковой и историографической базы. Сделан вывод о том, что большинство изменений в изображении Орфея происходит внутри возможностей, которые предлагает существующий комплекс мифов.
