Аннотация

На основе анализа различных источников - слушаний Конгресса США, документации Госдепартамента США, материалов архива «Открытого общества имени Веры и Дональда Блинкен» при Центрально-Европейском университете и цифрового архива Международного научного центра имени Вудро Вильсона, содержащих рассекреченные документы об организации работы зарубежного радиовещания, оцифрованные аудиозаписи передач американских радиостанций, а также статистические данные, изучаются особенности становления радиопропаганды в годы холодной войны. Показано, что внешнее радиовещание, несмотря на принятые руководством СССР меры радиоэлектронной борьбы, находило своих слушателей среди советских граждан, став, таким образом, важной составляющей американской доктрины «сдерживания» коммунизма, которая лежала в основе внешнеполитической стратегии США во второй половине XX в.
