Аннотация

Одной из проблем, возникающих при изучении римского комплекса вооружения, является вопрос о возможности широкого распространения изделий из того или иного производственного центра по всей территории Римской империи. Еще более интересен вопрос о путях распространения продукции мелких частных оружейных мастерских, являвшихся более многочисленными по сравнению с крупными оружейными производствами в городах. Деятельность бродячих групп ремесленников (wandernde Handwerkergruppen), перемещавшихся из гарнизона в гарнизон, рассмотрена на примере широкого распространения находок в различных провинциях Империи ряда совершенно аналогичных предметов вооружения, причем не относящихся к числу массовой продукции. Мобильность подобных групп была крайне ограниченной и зона деятельности такой ремесленной группы вряд ли могла выйти за территориальные рамки одной провинции, а широкое распространение совершенно схожих и виртуозно сработанных образцов вооружения вдоль границ римского государства следует связывать с деятельностью торговцев оружием, вывозивших их из городских оружейных мастерских.
