| Ставится проблема соотношения репрезентаций военного лидерства в изобразительных и литера-турных источниках с реальной практикой (прагматикой) личного участия полководца в бою. Анализ историографии показывает наличие в новейшей литературе разноречивых оценок истоков, специфики и значения личного участия римских полководцев в бою. Лишь в единичных работах обращается вни-мание на дискурсивные особенности описания соответствующих примеров и на обусловленность этой роли историческими (исконными или заимствованными у греков) образцами, традициями и другими социокультурными факторами. Без учета данных аспектов невозможно понимание римского военного лидерства в единстве его прагматических и идеологических компонентов. Все это обусловливает необ-ходимость еще одного обращения к данной теме и более пристального прочтения источников, включая изобразительные. Как показывает анализ военно-теоретических высказываний античных авторов, в IV в. до н.э. был сформулирован тезис о необходимости крайне осторожного участия полководца не-посредственно в боевых действиях. Однако для многих эллинистических и римских военачальников героический стиль военного лидерства сохранял немалое значение, прежде всего благодаря той моде-ли, которая была задана Александром Македонским. Поэтому в суждениях таких авторов, как Полибий или Онасандр, обнаруживается известная двойственность по данному вопросу. |
