Аннотация
Изучается влияние греческого кризиса на разработку после Второй мировой войны американской стратегии сдерживания коммунизма. Рассматривается эволюция представлений американских дипломатов, военных и разведчиков о коммунистической угрозе Греции в начальный период холодной войны. Восприятие американскими чиновниками греческого кризиса можно описать с помощью теории группового мышления. Раскрывается вклад представителей различных эшелонов государственного механизма США в разработку доктрины сдерживания коммунизма, исследован процесс подготовки речи президента Г. Трумэна в Конгрессе 12 марта 1947 г. Автор показывает, что одной из причин холодной войны было искаженное восприятие США советской политики. Статья подготовлена на основе документов Национального архива США, электронного читального зала сайта Центрального разведывательного управления, электронной Библиотеки Гарри Трумэна и опубликованных источников.
