The article deals with the economic activities of the Vologda Archbishop’s House of St. Sophia in the Time of Troubles. There are some surviving sources on this issue: acts, office work documentation, as well as the 1612/13 accounts book of the Archbishop of Vologda and Perm Sylvester. This accounts book emerged soon after the ravaging of Vologda by Polish-Lithuanian troops on September 22-25, 1612. The expenditure part of the book reflects the costs associated with the construction after a fire in the St. Sofia church and at the Archbishop’s court, while the income part shows the sources for replenishing the treasury.
