In this article, we examine the data from official service books about the participation of Western Europeans in Russian military service («service-class nemtsy») in the hostilities during the Time of Troubles (from 1613 to 1617), including the participation of the «service-class nemtsy» in the march against Zarutsky, the march to Smolensk, the defeat of the rioting Cossacks in the Upper Volga region as well as in the Moscow region, and the marches against Lisovsky’s detachments. Some data are also analysed concerning the «service-class nemtsy» that are not related to military operations.
