This article illustrates the historical and socio-cultural processes that have become a catalyst for the transformation of the mass media into new communication media. We examine the stages of the functional transformation of the media from the Petrine era to the present. The analysis of the media transformation is based on the study of monetization as a universal communication environment that accompanies the concrete historical epoch and the cultural processes taking place in society. |
