This paper aims to analyze the problems of formation of the postwar wave of Russian emigration, to identify its quantitative and qualitative composition, as well as its peculiar features. One of the problems for the second post-October wave of emigration was enforced repatriation after the Yalta agreements. However, in parallel with the formation of a new emigration was the process of emigrants' return to the USSR, which was primarily related to the increased prestige of the Soviet Union after the victory over fascism.
