In this article, we examine the history of bilateral cooperation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Congo in 2000s and the early 2010s. The results of interaction between the two countries are analyzed, in particular, in the field of political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, military-technical cooperation and education. The role of person in modern history of bilateral cooperation is emphasized. Some problems in the development of bilateral ties during the period of study are identified. Some ways to advance cooperation between the two states and peoples are proposed.
