| The article looks at the celebrations of the anniversaries of the 1917 October revolution in the Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky) University during the period between 1927 and 1987. The forms of festive events and their participants as well as the transformation of the scenarios of October festivities across different periods are considered. The University's special role in interpreting the accomplishments of October and educating the younger generation is emphasized. |
