| The article examines the principles of linguistic description in the grammar of Panini. The author analyzes the linguistic terms of Panini’s grammar, the elements and the structure of the metalanguage of Panini’s description. The method of description in the grammar of Panini shows some important features in the linguistic traditions of ancient India. |
