| The article deals with the definition of the notion «term». Our primary concern is the analysis of the distinctive features of the term (the specificity of the usage, substantial accuracy, an ability to be defined and to nominate a subject) with the emphasis on their contradictory nature revealed in the texts. The author examines the formation of a terminological system using some examples from English and Russian. |
