Abstract
The article considers an episode from the daily life of Bronnaya Sloboda: a family conflict between a native of Vitebsk Ivan Dracula, who was a master of the Armoury, and his wife Irina. Documents pertaining to formal proceedings initiated by the authorities of the Armoury contain important information about the daily life of court artisans and inhabitants of Bronnaya Sloboda. The materials of the case contain information about professional activity of Ivan Dracula in the court workshop and about some episodes of his private life. Based on the generalization and the analysis of the available sources, the assumption is made regarding insufficient social adaptation of the first generation of artisans - immigrants from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and their desire to keep closer to each other in the Russian capital.
