The aim of this work is to reveal the features of poetics in L.Gaud?'s play «Medea Kali» in terms of trends in the literature of the late 20th - early 21st centuries. The analysis presented in the article is based on the use of structural descriptive and comparative historical methods, as well as the method of intermedial analysis. It is concluded that the integration of arts, especially using of sculpture and dance in the space of the play, not only serves to broaden the boundaries of the classical mythological plot, but also emphasizes the multifaceted character of the heroine's image; the tendency of intercultural interaction that is associated with the introduction of different national mentality codes into the artistic space serves the same purpose. The author also notes the absence of banalization of the heroine's image, which is not typical of this period's literature.
