The article examines some issues concerning the verbalization of a person's external qualities in secondary nominations in Russian dialects. The material of comparative combinations is used to consider the figurative nature of secondary nominations. We reveal their associative nature and their evaluative component. This kind of description makes it possible to analyze a fragment of the dialectal language picture of the world and to reveal the specific features in the perception of the world and person, as well as the attitude towards it in Russian dialects. Thus, we reconstruct not only a system of standards, but also a value system of the carrier of dialectal linguistic consciousness.
