In this article, we discuss some practical problems of copyright protection. A comparison of the concepts of protection and safeguarding of exclusive rights is given. The article presents a comprehensive study of the protection of exclusive copyright. Special attention is given to the classification of protection methods. The idea is justified that the classification existing in the doctrine of civil law does not accurately reflect the relations prevailing in the field of intellectual property law. The author reveals the content of reconstructive and restraining ways of exclusive rights protection. An analysis of the views of the leading contemporary researchers in the field of intellectual rights is presented. The proposed approach will be of interest to the experts in the field of copyright and related rights.
