This article explores different methods for identifying risks that arise in the process of management activities of government agencies. Much attention is paid to the content of the concept of "risk identification" in the world standards of risk management. The purpose of the study is to analyze existing methods and technologies for identifying risks to justify the possibility of their application in the system of public administration in Russia. The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing number of risks in the system of modern public administration that increase directly in proportion to the increase in the number of public services provided to the population.
