| In this paper, we analyze plot situations, in which the characters turn to the images of the «old» and «new» German culture, music, literature. The «us-them» oppositions and their variants are identified. It is concluded that Turgenev's reference to the images of German culture makes it possible to reveal in the novel the emblematic plot of choice as the key one in the crisis state of society. |
