| This article focuses on classification of phraseological units in German and Dutch and on the possibility to classify Dutch phraseological units following the models of German linguists. We have analysed I.I. Chernyshova's classification and compared it to Dutch and Russian systems. The accepted classification of phraseological units is illustrated with Dutch examples. Each example is explained and some examples are accompanied by Russian equivalents. |
