The aim of the paper is to study the development of forensic models of terrorism financing in order to increase the effectiveness of efforts aimed at identifying, preventing and suppressing terrorist activities. The methods used to achieve this aim include comparative analysis, systematization, induction and deduction. The main results of our research include identifying some ways to solve the problem of combating terrorism by detecting and suppressing activities aimed at providing sources for terrorism financing. The author's approaches to the construction of forensic models of terrorism financing are proposed. Typical ways for creating sources of terrorism financing are listed. Some terrorism financing methods both by legally operating commercial structures and by the shadow economy and criminal business entities are identified, along with the ways to detect and suppress them. A number of proposals have been made regarding the organization of work to develop forensic models of terrorism financing. It is concluded that the proposed approaches to the construction of forensic models of terrorism financing make it possible to adapt the general principles of the forensic diagnostics theory to solving the problems of countering terrorism.
