Abstract
The aim of this article is to provide an analysis of intertextual inclusions from the perspective of representation of the linguocultural code in a literary text. In our opinion, linguocultural code is a system of «cultural and language phenomena and relations between them, which define the author’s literary picture of the world». The material for this research consists of V.F. Khodasevich's poems from the cycle «European Night». Intertextual inclusions considered in this study include quotations, allusions and reminiscences. The following research methods were used: analysis of lexemes, examining symbolic meanings of lexemes in linguo-cultural dictionaries, comparison and intertextual analysis. In the course of research, we found out that V.F. Khodasevich most frequently resorted to allusions from the Bible and A.S. Pushkin’s works. In particular, V.F. Khodasevich rethinks A.S. Pushkin’s idea of poet-prophet. The poet creates fantastic and unrealistic picture of the world by means of the Bible allusions. We can also find some mythological allusions in V.F. Khodasevich’s individual style. Of great importance for V.F. Khodasevich’s poetry is the image of Orpheus (a poet whose creative work can transform the surrounding world and solve the mysteries of Genesis).
