| The purpose of the article is to confirm the fact of inclusion of proverbs and sayings in the phraseological corpus of the language, using the example of the Azerbaijani and English languages. Particular attention is paid to the dispute between various linguistic scholars, whether to include such a unique linguistic phenomenon as proverbs and sayings in the phraseology system; the pros and cons are discussed. |
