The article describes the main evolutionary processes in the counter-terrorism policy of Great Britain. Some important aspects of domestic and foreign policy of the state with a focus on countering the terrorist threat are discussed. The hierarchy of power within the framework of this topic is considered, and an analysis of the counter-terrorism policy of Great Britain is presented. The authors' event analysis is carried out on the example of terrorist attacks of different years, and the fundamental directions of the activities of special services in the fight against terrorism are identified.
