The article discusses a set of measures taken by N.A. Demidov to stabilize the social situation and to develop loyalty among the population at the Nizhny Tagil plants after the unrest of the 1750s - early 1760s and the results of these efforts. It is concluded that these conscious and purposeful activities laid the foundation for long-term cooperation and social stability in these plants. These measures contributed to the solidarity of the plant workers and the authorities in the situation of the Pugachev rebellion and helped to avoid large-scale conflicts over the next century.
