| We proceed from the premise that the body and its age are important fragments in the language picture of the world. In this article, we examine the linguistic resources for expressing age in Russian and Chinese. Cultural significance of different periods of life is revealed. A description is given of the peculiarities of the evaluative attitude to age in the Russian language picture of the world against the backdrop of the Chinese one. |
