The article shows the use of repressions by the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Cheka and other punitive state bodies against the enemies of the Soviet government and the peasants who refused to carry out state duties, as well as the use of broad amnesties for many arrested and convicted persons, which were declared on occasion of revolutionary holidays. |
