The article presents a review of the monograph by Professor A.Yu. Vinokurov «Administrative prosecution as a function of the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation (theoretical, legal and organizational aspects)», which was published by the publishing house «Prospekt». It is stated that a very successful attempt was made in this book to substantiate the presence of an independent function of administrative prosecution among the external functions of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. Thus, a new scientific direction in the theory of the functions of the prosecutor's office is declared quite convincingly and clearly.
