This paper analyzes cognitive models of conceptual metaphorization and metonymization in Russian phraseology with the component «добро» (something good) by means of the method of traditional linguistic description and the method of conceptual analysis. It is shown that in Russian phraseological units the concept of «добро» is consistently presented as an animate entity, as a substance (thing), as a specialized object with concrete functions, as a real right direction, etc. The author concludes that the models of metaphorical representation of good and metonymic substitution of the concepts associated with good determine to a great extent the national and cultural specific features of «naive ethics» as a significant component of the Russian language picture of the world embodied in the Russian phraseology.
