The author identifies and subsequently analyzes the language means employed to represent the textual concept «Kotik Letaev» on the liguocognitive and pragmatic levels of the organization of the character's linguistic persona. The study relies on the comprehensive systems approach that combines elements of cognitive and specific text analysis. The principles of analysis of the textual concept «Personality» proposed in the works of A.Yu. Bogomolov and L.N. Churilova provide the methodological basis for the article. Specific linguistic material is used to show how the author-specific imagery manifests itself in the development of the concept «Kotik Letaev» and how this concept functions in the text. The analysis of the concept in question relies on the study of text extracts that differ in their relation to the protagonist, including the extracts featuring some other characters in the novel and the fragments of the protagonist's inner monologues.
