The article analyzes the results of topographic studies of the Battle of Chaeronea 338 BC. The scarcity of data in the sources causes an ambiguous attitude of researchers to the arrangement of the opposing sides and to the course of the battle. The primary task of researchers is to identify the main topographic objects. The authors critically examine the known sources on this issue, and question the data presented in these sources. |
