The article aims at the analysis of lexicographic works that represent terms of hydroelectric engineering and related industries. It was found out that modern national lexicography lacks explanatory dictionaries of hydroelectric engineering branch sublanguage. The terminology of hydroelectric engineering branch sublanguage is partially reflected in translation dictionaries and in polytechnical dictionaries. It is also represented in the form of inclusions in the dictionaries of related industries - power engineering and hydrology.
