The profession that was chosen by a student of a medical institution of higher education places high demands on the level of proficiency in the specific terminological framework based on the Latin and the Greek languages, which actualizes the problem of learning unfamiliar vocabulary by the students. The author suggests building associative links based on the etymological analysis as a method for the fast memorization of medical terminology units, aimed at the long-term memory. The research material is a set of initial clinical terminology elements.
