The article presents an analysis of the work of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament in 2010-2015 as well as the composition and working methods of the Committee. The authors focus on the policy of the UK in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in connection with the attempts of the ruling Conservative party to strengthen ties with the countries of the MENA region and boost the UK’s international weight. On the basis of the Committee's publications including reports and formal minutes, the authors describe the opinions of Committee members and study the recommendations provided by the Committee to the British Government.
