The article examines a new Internet communication genre, an Internet tourist’s essay. In the analysis of the genre model of the Internet tourist’s essay, we use a scheme that includes the following parameters: communicative purpose, sphere of communication, thematic features, composition, author and audience model, linguistic means. Special attention is given to the texts' imagery, linguistic and cultural load. Based on the results of the research, it is proposed to distinguish between an Internet review and an Internet tourist’s essay.
