The aim of the work is to study the processes of transformation of state control and supervision in the context of the digitalization of the economy. Based on an analysis of the literature in the field of automation and digitalization of control and supervision activities, its individual areas, the author draws conclusions about the positioning of digitalization as an approach to using information technologies in public administration, about the administrative and procedural nature of digitalization of state control and supervision. The research methodology includes such methods as the comparative legal analysis method, the formal legal method, classification and modeling methods. The results of the study are the points characterizing the digitalization of state control and supervision as two interrelated processes: the influence of the environment being controlled on the tools of control and supervision and the impact of qualitatively new control and supervision mechanisms on the sphere being controlled. In conclusion, the author identifies the main trends in the digitalization of state control and supervision: the transition to the supranational level in the context of economic integration; increasing requirements to ensure information and other types of security when working with the information necessary for monitoring and supervision; formalization of state control and supervision, reduction of discretion during its implementation.
