The paper presents the results of a comparative study of the areas of settlement of the medieval population in the area near the mouth of the Oka river in the 13th-15th centuries. We have determined the spatial and landscape correlation of the corresponding areas and their historical dynamics. The conclusion about different ecological niches developed by representatives of two ethno-cultural groups (Russians and Mordvins) is substantiated. |
