The article deals with the drawing of the outstanding German Renaissance artist Wolf Huber «Battle of Pavia». This is one of the few works of the master dedicated to the military theme. Indicates the significance of this work as a kind of historical document. The composition of the drawing, interpretation of objects and figures is analyzed. The author established that the diverse emotional content of the drawing includes the artist’s humorous attitude to certain characters. The drawing «Battle of Pavia» enriches our ideas about the visual culture of the German Renaissance in General and about the work of wolf Huber in particular.
