The article examines the features of the language objectification of the concept «druzhba» («friendship») in the Russian lexical-semantic system. The research material is the main Russian explanatory dictionaries. The methods of linguo-cognitive analysis of culturally significant concepts, developed by scientists of the Nizhny Novgorod School of Analysis of Culture Concepts, are used. The concept of «druzhba» («friendship») is presented as a frame in which the slots ?feeling of friendship?, ?subjects of friendship? and ?relations of friendship as a process? are distinguished, each of which is realized in a corresponding set of cognitive signs, determined on the basis of the analysis of lexicographic interpretations of the lexemes druzhba (friendship) , drug (friend) and druzhit’ (to be friends) as the main representatives of the concept.
