The article examines the reports and studies of the Scientific Service of the Bundestag in the period 2013-2018, concerning the anti-terrorist policy of the Federal Republic of Germany. The evolution of the phenomenon of a terrorist organization is traced, the development by experts of strategies and practices of anti-terrorist policy in the 2010s is studied. The increase in the degree of interaction of the expert community of the Bundestag with the deputies in the studied period of the recent history of the FRG is revealed. The results of the work of the Scientific Service during the third term of Chancellor A. Merkel and the influence of the Service on the adoption of bills related to anti-terrorist policy are evaluated. An overview of the German and Russian historiography of the issue is made.
