The article analyzes the phenomenon of isosemy, first described in the communicative-functional syntax. We take the material for analysis from the corpuses of texts of the Modern Greek language. The description of the category of isosemicity in the Modern Greek language takes place. The categorical meanings of the significant parts of speech of the Modern Greek language are revealed. Syntactic synonyms containing isosemic and non-isosemic words are considered. We make the conclusion about the presence of isosemy in the significant parts of speech of the Modern Greek language.
