This paper has investigated the models of conceptual metaphors of the ethical concept «evil» in Russian phraseology with the meaning «evilness». It is shown that in Russian phraseological units the ethical concept «evilness» is presented as reified entity (object, thing), including concrete object with specific functions (characteristics, signs), as animate beings such as wolf, dog, bear and snake, and as concrete action. It is concluded that such models of the metaphorical representation of evilness largely embody not only the national and cultural specifics of the Russian people, but also their own and certain formats of knowledge about the world, which are reflected and recorded in Russian phraseology.
