The article goes on research cycle considered different aspects of speech actualization of the lexemes mentalitet and mental’nost’ ( mentality ) as representatives of the concept MENTALITET / MENTAL’NOST’ (MENTALITY). The work presents the lexeme mental’nost’ as synonym of the lexeme mentalitet. The object is to analyze semantic transfor- mations of the lexeme mental’nost’ in contexts of standard and non-usual genitive word-compatibility with the model “Subst. + Subst. in Gen.”. The research materials are the data of Russian National Corpus. The work shows certain se- mantic convergences and divergences in textual realization of the lexemes mentalitet and mental’nost’ in cognitive mod- els of genitive metaphor. The author came at a conclusion that the lexeme mental’nost’ as well as the lexeme mentalitet gets significant cultural elaboration in modern Russian native speakers’ communicative practice.
