The article presents the methodological foundations of Chinese audience of the humanitarian profile training during analysis of the Russian political metaphor of the concept of patriotism. The subject of the work is to determine the Rus- sian political metaphor of the concept of patriotism and to develop a system of exercises and test tasks for assimilation the abstract meaning of the lexeme patriotism through of its metaphorical models. The research is based on the commu- nicative-cognitive and linguocultural approaches in linguodidactic.
